	This system preference is used to determine which Elasticsearch indexes are not to be autotruncated. In most cases, those are identifiers such as barcode and control-number. Truncating identifiers in the search can return too many results that are not relevant.
	This system preference is only useful if the :ref:`SearchEngine <searchengine-label>` system preference is set to 'Elasticsearch' and the :ref:`QueryAutoTruncate <queryautotruncate-label>` system preference is set to 'automatically'.

	This setting allows for searches to be automatically truncated or for additional characters to be added to the end of a search string.
